James Creek Marina

James Creek Marina is located in Washington, D.C. and is owned by The National Park Service. They use Kasco F3400/D, 3/4hp De-Icers to prevent ice damage in the winter and for improved water quality during the summer. The major problem was with trash coming into the marina with the tidal flow and from a storm drain near the marina. To say the least, the slip holders weren't happy. It got so bad that some of the slips closest to shore could not be rented because they were filled with trash. Kasco F3400/D's were installed on Dock Mounts on the backside of the main walk way to push trash and keep additional debris from coming in with the tide. Six were used right away, but once the existing trash was cleaned up, only 4 were needed, just enough to hold the tide back. During high tide, the de-icers and circulators keep the trash at the mouth of the marina and when the tide reverses, away it goes. Below are some pictures of their success.
